FEAST AND BE MERRY!
This year's Darkon Feast will be a Yule Masquerade held December 7th from 6pm to 11:30 pm at the Adelphi Mill. Join your fellow Darkonians and guests for an evening of delicious food and drink, excellent entertainment and winter pageantry.
Tickets are only $20 and go on sale as of September 21. You can purchase tickets at Darkon events or via PayPal. Our delicious menu will include smoked beef and poultry, potatoes, vegetables, salad, pasta for our vegetarian guests, desserts, cheese and fruit. The bar will feature cider, beer and limited wine. The Adelphi Mill is located at 8402 Riggs Rd, Adelphi, MD 20783.
Guests may bring any other alcohol that they choose. You must be 21 to drink, and you will be carded at the door. This event is 16+.
We will be holding a number of contests, including Best Decorated Table, Best Dressed Male and Female, and Best Mask. Prizes will include purses of gold as well as keepsakes for each winner. Entertainment will feature performances by musical duo Hardcore Whaler, and belly dance by Nikki Murphy, Eleanor Finney and more.

FEAST FAQ!
Are costumes required? Yes, this is Darkon's biggest formal dress event of the year. Participants must be wearing a medieval/fantasy costume to attend. This is a public facility and you are expected to be dressed appropriately, no nudity or vulgarity.
Are tickets transferable? Tickets are transferable, but non refundable. If you purchase a ticket and cannot join us even up to the day of the event, you can pass your ticket to a friend. Contact Amy McNeal to transfer your ticket to another person. Only tickets that have been properly transferred will be accepted.
Can I carry a weapon? Yes, you can carry your favorite weapon, whether Darkon legal, plastic, wood, latex or real steel. This is a party not a battle, no fighting or sparring will be tolerated.
Can I bring games or musical instruments? Period games and instruments are welcomed and encouraged. Break out your favorite chess set or deck of cards. Gambling for gold is encouraged! Bring your drum or flute. Entertain yourself and others. Keep it period/traditional and we welcome you.
Can I bring my own food, drinks or alcohol? Your ticket entitles you to consume our menu of food and alcohol (barring age restrictions). You are welcome to bring additional food and beverages as you desire. We understand that we cannot possible cover all allergies, intolerances, diets and preferences and we want you to have fun!
Is tableware provided? No. You must bring your own period feastware ( plates, cups, utensils, etc.), table linens, lighting and table decorations. Tables and chairs are provided by the hall. You may have a crew enter early to set up your feast area, but everyone must exit to the ticket line by 6:00 pm.
What is prohibited? We do not allow obviously modern tableware, modern decorations or music, animals, children, guns, special effects that can damage the hall or obscene material. Smoking is restricted to outdoor areas only.
