Re: Question
I agree with Thrush. I believe suspension announcements should be as brief and to the point as possible. Nobody needs all the details, unless the suspended party chooses to contest it, then it's on them when everything comes out on the table.

Re: New Amor System - Play Test Comments
I love the 3 point system idea. I agree with the rationale for Inox's proposal, but I really dislike giving plate even more hits. I believe that is going the wrong direction. We could easily go to a light-medium-heavy system in a way that would leave the vast majority of existing rules unchanged. Co...

Clarification of costs
We have a number of new players from ORCS expected to be attending the campout this weekend. Could someone please give me an official answer on what the cost in dues and/or new players are? With the recent increase in dues for day events, I could not recall if we had raised campout dues as well. I d...

Re: Worst Dressed Veteran...
Thankfully Sir Cormac was in camp to "take one for the team" when the pictures came around, so I was spared the horror of having certain images burned into my brain. One involved a certain New Mordom noble's "wardrobe malfunction. The other involved a certain Legionaire, who may or ma...

The Golden Apple of Discord
Thanks to everyone brave and/or foolish enough to partake of the gift of Eris! The promised reward is very real, and has not as of yet been awarded. When the Oracle of Eris was wandering around preaching the virtues of the goddess, he asked everyone who had partaken to later regale him with the tale...

Re: Feedback for new event type
Maybe ditch the coins altogether in favor of a "hades elder" with a list? Check in with the hades elder when you die and tell them who killed you. They put a check next to the person's name?

Just so you know, I am about 3 weeks into my grueling training regimen of no smoking in preparation for our fight. I've also added many reps of 12oz curls.

Re: Feedback for new event type
That makes sense, and it's simple. The only minor thing about a reverse draw that's a potential issue is that then the order if the second round is a known quantity, which gives people more of a chance to collude. I'd rather do multiple rounds (2/3/5 ?) and let the gate elders send people out more o...

Re: Feedback for new event type
I am sorry I wasn't clear about that in my initial post. You only give your killer your starting coin. The coins you collect from the people you kill is your score. Rather than coins, maybe I'll punch a hole through the cards and put them on a length of twine? One thing that was brought up that I do...

Feedback for new event type
I'm looking to run a new event type in conjunction with the Spring tourney. I'd like some feedback from the realm to gauge what the interest level in such an event would be in order to determine whether or not this will be something I pursue. I'm hoping to run a play test, and then it if works ok to...

Re: Dominion
The key to keeping new groups going is persistence. Back when ORCS was trying to get off the ground is was basically just Bloody Axe "South Branch", i.e. Efnissien, Con, Wood, and a few new local Hampton VA guys. The trick is that you need to grin and bear it while you're just half a dozen...

Re: From the Desk of the NC...
As Pat pointed out, this is a work in progress and what was posted may not be the exact wording of the final proposal. One bit in particular that I would like to clarify is with regard to the Order of the Sword. Where the listed proposal states: "A Sword Master is nominated and approved by the ...

Re: Opening the Cavalier class
Please be advised that this topic is something that is already being addressed within the NC. I have been working on a proposal to open the cavalier class to non-nobles. There are some other proposals also being worked on within the NC and the intent is to wait until all of them can be looked at tog...
