While those are wildly different that we are used to, I can easily see the merits. I really like the boat battles in two phases, I am not so sure about the moat replacing the walls.

Speaking of which, as we evaluate products what exactly are our requirements. I have never use the software to customize the map, only to view it and sometimes to try and export it. We have to identify the needs of Darkon prior to evaluating our options.
