Re: Discussion - Siege Ladders/Scaling Ladders
I understand the boredom aspects and wanting to keep the game flowing. However, sieges are supposed to be very difficult. The defender should have a huge advantage. Armies should think twice about attacking an fortified position. So I am torn with your suggestions Inox. I think there could be compro...

Re: Changing Gates, bringing back rams.
what about fire balls and lightning bolts? Do they no longer damage gates in your proposal? Not really discussed in your proposal. I think 4 hits from a siege weapon is extreme. I would think a siege engine would do more damage than a ram. Plus its physically more difficult to destroy a gate with a ...

Re: Appraisal of siege/boat/ bridge mechanics etc
Well I would much rather have keep/sieges go the complete opposite direction. Actually having walls. It is a big advantage for the defender to move people around without the aggressor seeing what they are doing. I am all about realism. If its a wall, it should look like one. I think the boat battles...

If it's related to the club then I believe all members have a right to know... If it's related to an individual then it's not our business. So can you tell us which it is?

Sounds like the proposal is for allowing Dagorhir style javelins. I'm ok with it. I think they fly better.

Thanks for running the goblin mod guys. It was epic! The roleplaying was awesome. I loved the eastern shambling moss. Also, the prizes were epically hilarious. Thanks again!

Just a thought here. What if the assassinate ability functions on the class? If you get assassinated you can come back as a new character of lvl 1 in the class you were assassinated in or any other character/class you have.

Re: Map Expansion
I think there should be rivers that can reach far inland. Areas that are designated river crossings. These would be hexes that could be occupied by either a boat or an army. Pretty much places that add strategic value be ause they could allow easier movement of armies. Both could be blockaded. River...

I think siege weapons are already adventure rule only.
To be honest I think we should encourage more realistic siege engine use. I am also against bungee pults. thanks for the props Thrush.

Re: April 7th Event
I am a big fan of woods capture the flag scenarios. Make 3 teams. Each side gets 10 minutes to build a fortification and place their flag. Resurrection point some place behind the flag. First team to capture a flag wins or make it so you need to capture an opponents flag x times to win. Once its cap...

Re: Armor and Lost limbs
I kind of like the idea if an outside editor. Not trying to belittle anyone's professional skills or anything. Sometimes it's all about perspective. When a person is close to a body of work it's easy to overlook things and the individual has a bias no matter how hard they try. I'm a math guy so it's...

Re: A proposal for arguement & assassins!
It is clear that we will not come to an agreement on this subject any time soon. I propose the following. Implement a rule that forces Darkon to come to a decision by the end of 2013. The rule would be punitive in nature. If the senate can't come to an agreement by Jan 1st 2014 all players lose 10% ...

During Campouts I use the repair skill all the time. Mainly just for my torso armor since it comes off in one piece. I'll usually do it behind the safety of my walls not out in the open. Repairing my shield I'll do anywhere if I think Ill have time. Carrying an extra 5 lbs coif for the chance that y...

Re: Locking mechanism on siege weapons
Why can't we add a compressed air option to cannons? The siege weapon still has to be checked. I'm sure there are plenty of people who are smart enough that could make a safe working design. I'm kind of indifferent on the make siege engines look real argument.
