Removing "neutral color" requirements from Druid and Ranger
Changes this proposal makes: Under " Druids " in character types: Druids should be garbed in primarily woodland colors and must wear a nature symbol to signify their character type. becomes Druids must wear a nature symbol to signify their character type. Under " Rangers ", remov...

Removing "neutral color" requirements from classes.
Right now Druidss "should be garbed in primarily woodland colors" and a Ranger's "costume should primarily consist of neutral/ woodland colors". Neither of this really add anything to the game, and like mage robes before them, subtract from possibilities and force people into spe...

Re: Weapon construction rules
Duct tape just can't be on the striking SURFACE. As long as it's inside, it's not against the rules (provided of course it isn't making the weapon hit too hard in that area - which it sometimes can in extreme cold).

Re: As the Sky Darkens In Laconia " Campout Info"
There really aren't enough camps to there to take one for NPC'ing. Can't you guys use the pavilion for the same purposes like those who ran the campout last year did? Taking an entire site, which was used by one of the larger countries in the game, away is a bit rough on all of those people, and eve...

Re: Credits/Characters/Classes Question
To me that more or less says that you have a character, and it is not attached to class, and you have a name for that character. That's all.
So your thief credits can be Bob one day and Tom the other, two separate characters who both are of the "thief class", and use the same ranks.

Re: Proposal - Spell Disruption
As long as the effect doesn't use AOE, i'm cool with it. I don't like the idea of a mage starting to cast fireball infront of a door that he sees fighters charging at, he doesn't have to finish the spell, but he gets to be a human landmine and kill 2-5 fighters without finishing a spell. I find it ...

Re: Proposal - Spell Disruption
Why not just have everything fizzle? I think then we would lose the damage cause by a spell caster casting a fireball and being hit before being able to throw it Spellballs detonate on the caster I think that is his point, though - just have all magic work the same way. It's easier to know the rule...

Re: The Scoundrel/ The Rogue
I don't believe there is a rule that says you have to link your credits to a single character. For example, I play my ranger as Lord Valfryn in his "scouting gear". If one day I decide that I want to play as a good guy... I can play that 25 ranger as Gilwain, the Wood Elf. Now if i'm play...

Re: Discussion - Remove offensive spells
Id rather have monks armor over steelskin any day. Ignore one hit THEN leather everywhere. This comes in handy tons more than steelskin, as Im often hit in the limbs (multiple) with white/yellow weapons. I can take more of those with leather/iron, then chill out and mend it for free all day long LO...

Re: The Scoundrel/ The Rogue
Not sure its a cut and paste from rulebook Probably overlooked then. When they changed the armor rules, they probably fixed all of the stuff about actual armor classes, forgetting to even think about the old monk class. I know that when backstab was rewritten a few years ago it specifically was wri...

Re: Discussion - Remove offensive spells
I will never understand the "two hits is OP" thing. On Sunday, I helped run the Iron Man competition. I got to have studded armor everywhere (free, though). I lasted far longer with that than I ever do as a mage. I didn't feel completely outclassed by anybody I had to try to kill during it...

Re: The Scoundrel/ The Rogue
Im open to negotiations about assassination times. 2 hours was suggested as: 1. there will be a lot more people capable of assassinating IF they wish. Removing the suggestion of 2x Writs at lvl 20 of course would mitigate this. I personally find the idea of GMs to be a poor mechanic in the game. It...

General reminder... Siege damage
As I was eldering in the siege yesterday I had to point out to several people that were not, in fact, dead... They were mortally wounded. That makes a big difference in spell points in a siege when a cleric is trying to heal people. According to the rules, if you are directly hit by the weapon, you ...

Re: The Scoundrel/ The Rogue
There's a question for the safety-minded people of the game - can you shield press/bash someone as they spin. I mean, they knew you were there if they were fighting you to begin with.
On the other hand, if they are turned around when you hit them, you're hitting from behind
DUN DUN DUN.

But if he times his spin attack just right against noobs in no armor with no shields, he can easily do radius damage...
...so maybe he is a mage.

What should we do in regards to Last Rites? Change it to be NPC only, make it so Rogue's cannot cast it, or just change their ability to Arcane Scrolls only? There isn't really anything to keep you from being it to two-teams other than people complaining, maybe. Or an elder's discretion, I guess. Back when I was in Ched Nasad (so many centuries ago), we used them in a two teams once just for the hell of it. We also used it during a Laconian Olympics. Hey...
