Some countries will actually pick the harder encounter, even with no added benefit (i.e. towers). Ched has always been good about that.

Thank you, Exec Board, for being willing to make hard choices. Thank you, Senate, for giving your time and serious consideration to these issues. I am behind you on this. The dues vote was pushed through as an emergency measure, but all Senators were given advance notice, and they voted. The time ha...
It seemed to me that during Senate, the fear wasn't so much that Sketchies and Rangers could move to other armor types, it's that they would take more hits. Personally, I don't think it was all that unbalancing, but that was the concern among Senators. I don't think that simply tweaking what specifi...

Doesn't even have to be that. It can (and it's most simple) just say "fireballs do this" specific only to fireballs Yup. As someone pointed out in Senate (Lanham, perhaps), no one says "GREEN!" when a fireball lands. They say "Fireball," or more likely, "BOOM!"

QFT. The NC ruled it was safe--if you want to outlaw it, pursue that in Senate.
So why not leave the mage spell alone, not nerf mages at all, and instead go straight to the heart of the matter...fighting on your knees is kind of dumb. Yes, fighting on your knees is dumb. But the problem isn't generally the NPCs (giants), it's when a PC gets GG cast on him/her during a campout,...
In a campout situation, with two opposing forces both grappling with the same giant, I would want to preserve the tactical advantage by using Giant Growth on my "team". The other force would have to fight from their knees, and possibly incur more injuries, this way. It's not griefing, it's...

Looks like I should talk to you about commissioning a silver sword cover, for when mine craps out then

I definitely support a Growth spell for use vs. other Giant-sized critters. Alas, I'm not currently in a country and am thus not a senator. If that doesn't matter, then "Cosign".

Indeed. On one hand, it'll make even minor healers (rangers, druids) more useful. On the other hand, it'll make for (slightly?) less death in the game.

I think he meant wrist bands. The wrist bands we're discussing apply to weapons only and are put on the weapon handle.
So you all know, THERE WILL BE NO CAMPING IN THE BARN OR PAVILION. They will be available for play. The pavilion will be used by staff & elders throughout the campout for check-in, prizes, etc. This means no one will be using it EXCEPT staff and elders. To clarify/correct, staff (ahem) & el...
speaking of which, can we get the current land encounter chart updated on the website? the one on the website now is incorrect. (and according to the land rules, red, holy or not, has 0 effect on skeletons. the hosts are using their own monster rules for the campout) 1) From what I understand, the ...
There was talk last event of Darkon purchasing the "I can drink" paper wrist bands in assorted colors. Having the right color band around your handle = checked for the event.
