Re: Rule Book Errors

I would bring it to Senate. Just be sure to state that your intent is to correct typos, not to change rules.

Re: Noble Tourney

I agree. Something like a town crier post in the IC boards or something. Also who is Mr Thorson? Master Thorson of Northern Kingdoms won the Commoner's Tourney last fall, which made him eligible to fight for Order of the Sword. He is the first commoner to do so, won, and may now become a Cavalier i...

Re: coinage

I have no problem with it. If you want to pay real $ to have the coin minted, and want to only let it enter circulation by certain methods that reward bringing old coin back to the club, then that's cool with me.

Re: Discussion - Conflict of Interest in Bylaws

BLUF: I don't think it's an issue. Most of the 501(c) conflict of interest concerns that I'm familiar with center on financial gain. One of the basic questions on the application for Not-For-Profit status with the IRS is "Do you have a conflict of interest policy?" In my other 501(c), our ...

Looks like fun!

To eliminate confusion, you may want to switch your armor references from "AR" (old) to "AC" (new).

Re: The Scoundrel/ The Rogue

Inox, just so I'm not misunderstanding your response. What you are saying regarding your level 27 thief is that one day you play him as Inox, a treasure hunter and on another day you play him as Xoni a street urchin. Niether of which is a disguise? But because there isn't a rule requirement saying ...

Re: Why does weight = armor?

Looking beyond what the Senate might do; what are your thoughts on the matter, Kobalos? I actually like to see some weight-for-protection trade off. I like to make our fighting as realistic as possible, but by period standards. Yes, you can make great 'modern' armor in the style of medieval stuff o...

Re: Why does weight = armor?

I'm going to assume a significant number of Senators won't be able to get past the "weight = protection" argument. So I'll just comment on this... If the answer is 'armor must weigh X in order to count'; then we should stipulate a weight requirement rather than a material or construction r...

How about clearcoating it with the same stuff you used on your shield? I would think the flexible clearcoat used on PD would work better than a brittle lacquer.

Re: Proposal- Mages and White axes

That said, I like Mages not being able to use axes, because they could get a swingable Red spike on the back, which is something they can't currently manage. Except the wording you suggested (which I like, at least for the OP's intent) only allows daggers. It says nothing about them being able to u...

Re: bronze-look steel

Oh, and if it does work, hopefully your stainless is magnetic (not all SS is). That way, it'll be easier to convince a doubting armor marshal that it is in fact made of steel ;)

Re: bronze-look steel

I'm thinking of copper plating the steel (it sounds infinitely easier than bronze plating, though I may or may not need to nickel plate it first), and applying a Florentine brown patina from the site Artex suggested. My account for ArmourArchive.org finally got approved, so I'll bounce the idea off...

Might I suggest a Magistrate Rulings thread, like John did last year as Prez? That way we can see all your rulings in one spot, and it'll make it easier to put them before Senate at the end of the cycle.

Gor- that one doesnt pass the new specs, so it would be the new AC2. or am i wrong The shirt in Gor's link says it's 16g, 5/16" ID. That passes. If we were looking to make chain have a big come back to darkon (with all the rule changes) i think we may have done wrong, but time will tell. i am ...
