Hmm. Someone (Gerard?) had found a bunch of stuff on an eBay store. I'll see if I can find a link for ya when I get home and can access FB.

Re: bronze-look steel

Electroplating won't hold up to rattan, either. Your best bet for armor that looks like bronze is to, well, make your armor out of bronze. It's legit: Unless explicitly permitted in the specific armor type description, metal armor must be constructed of bronze or steel; and it must be at least 18‐ga...

I agree with Sir Sturmbjorne on both counts: Newbie speech is an intro to safe fighting. Make the noob coin unlootable, just like potions & scrolls are unlootable on the day they're made.

Re: Hit Zone Diagram

Since it's not a change per se, perhaps it could just be presented to Senate with any other similar edits at the last session prior to the new rulebook coming out. Or, if Pat's cool with it, it could be presented alongside Magistrate's Clarifications when they go to Senate. Those shouldn't be new ru...

Re: bronze weapon cover

Also note that brown denotes a wooden weapon. Not a white sword. Um, nope. Perhaps according to tradition, but not by the rules: The striking surfaces of all normal weapons must have a cloth cover of black, gray, or brown color. By the way, a pet peeve of mine (and Zentor's): Arrows are normal weap...

Personally, I'd like to see more realistic walls first, then figure out how to work spells & abilities around them.

Also, until someone actually trucks out some hay bales, this discussion is purely academic :)

Then keep in mind that our arrows must be 3" in diameter when finished. That means you can't compress the foam much at all when putting the cover on.

Re: ordering supplies from edhellen

I wasn't aware they would accomodate custom requests on their arrow kits. I don't see from their website (at a quick glance) the size of the foam block they send for the head. If it's a 4" block, it's up to you to size, by how much you compress the foam with your cover. Also, if you want to sim...

Re: The Hydra

Your first two paragraphs after the quote sum it up very well. I don't see why that, slightly reworded, couldn't be turned into a "clarification" proposal and presented to Senate. I don't see the Magistrate having an issue with using the same text as a clarification until the proposal pass...

Proposal: New AC3 Chainmail Specs

Rationale: Revise the Chainmail (AC3) specifications to accomodate Aspect Ratio (an indicator of weave strength), and add rules for riveted mail (which is inherently stronger and heavier, thus we should allow bigger rings). Current Rule: Chain mail must be made with links no larger than 1/2" ri...
