Re: Tuesday Practice sucks

There is indoor practice. I told the athletics guy more or less 7-9. We can use the gym, but if the gym is in use, we can talk to a tech, and they will direct us to a "raquetball court" that we can use. Indoor = no cleats or muddy ass kicks. Wear non-marking sneakers and don't be a douche....

In discussions with the athletics director, might get an indoor slot for us.

Re: Stance on Hay Bail Walls

Inside the keep you can be hit. If you're behind the keep, you're all but immune to being hit. You need to be hit with an absolute PEACH of a lob to come down on the right angle to inflict damage. Thrown weapons can't typically get that close (because of skirmishing) and siege weapons fail to be abl...

Re: multi piece core

I have no problems with people making/ using ineffective weapons. Just make a sword with a 1" bandshop core, use a routed "fold over" of foam to the desired sillyness of depth, dap and go have fun. The depth of the sword cannot have more than 2/3 it's flat side, so however big the fla...

Re: Stance on Hay Bail Walls

I never really dug how having a castle/ tower is usually a hindrance in one way or another. It's just funny how taking cover behind the castle, not in it... is the best bet. Honestly, I think castle/ siege fights should be a timed event. If the bad guys can't breach the gates/ ring a bell/ take a ba...

Re: Eldering, the how to?

What "Eldering" really is:
1: Being able to keep Darkonians on task.
2: having the "eggs" to call out someone who's doing it wrong.

Re: Making A/C/S day, A/C day.

Yep. Currently it's like a practice day, but lame. Shields allow for a decent dynamic, and still allow for easy wounding if you want to arch for some reason. There's really no point in having a day in which there's archery but no shields, unless you really want to stroke the ego of archers. Which is...

Re: Replacement system for land map

Think about the concept of an "abstract system" in which your land holdings doesn't relate to a physically represented map. Land searches and wars happen, the just don't need to be tracked via coordinates. Kind of like playing dnd without the gridmap. " Can I reach the goblin ?" ...

I have a headlamp because it's small and has straps on it. I hold it in my hand like tony stark. Simple enough.

Re: Replacement system for land map

Some "braintrust" folk are discussing a land/war system that may change how these things will be recorded. Let me know if you're going to start coding anytime soon( actual man-hours at a console), as to not try and have our two current projects collide with conflicts of interest.

Also, sometimes the elders allow shields for certain scenarios (this has happened a few times in the past years), so I'd bring one just in case.

Re: Light spell/abilty

is there a reason behind banning headlamps? Is it to occupy a hand? So that people can't use 2 hands while using a light spell? Or is it basically a garb thing? Because if that's the case we should just * headbands in general. 8p I do like the idea of "disguising" darkon light sources for ...

Yup, I suggested fire immunity based on it having ZERO spell balls.

Maelstrom being a giant's sword MUST be used 2 handed. (unless giant growthed)

Re: Proposal - Update of Druid Armor Materials

Only reason this is necessary is if we wish to push for more materials legal for armor... which would be the first step. (sorry I havn't been ontop of my leather/fur rules.) I do feel the game is getting away from "restricting" players to the mythos of a class. Monks aren't just karate mas...

true enough. ditch the iceballs, maelstrom is a murder machine at 3 pts.. and less pillows to wrangle up at the end of the day, the better.

Make it 3 pts, immune to cold/fire attacks. Boom
