Re: Prayer Touch Modification

But as written you do not need to declare the spell on contact, and that's what I want to change.

Re: Proposal - Starting Money

Simple solution for how to protect the new players Once they declare a class to the secretary, said secretary then notifies the Banker of Darkon or Coin Marshal. I'm the Banker, Siren is the coin marshal as a reference The coin they are issued is given OOC with an explanation about coin and its uses...

Re: Prayer Touch Modification

Having gone and read your proposal, which I definitely support. There are still a lot of spells that even by your proposal do not require an invocation line. Prayertouch, and its stored spell being among them. Modified my original proposal to reflect balancing, after talking with Caedes I will go wi...

Re: Prayer Touch Modification

How did you tag it with just one hand though, what was the other hand doing? The idea here is to bring prayer touch, which is effectively cleric pouch more in line with the other pouch style spells. I could add an invocation line is required to the proposal, just like pouch or magic stone. I dislike...

Re: Discussion - Disguised as...MY OWN COUNTRY

If a player changes all aspects of their garb that for me is good enough for disguise. If they disguise as their own country why does it really matter? The point is to not be your main character, but rather a nameless face in a crowd. Let's assume that a nomad shows up and disguises himself as a dif...

Prayer Touch Modification

Prayer Touch currently reads "This spell allows the Cleric to hold one spell for later use. To hold a spell, the Cleric must first cast Prayer Touch, and subsequently cast the spell to be held, utilizing the Energy Costs and Material Components for each. To use the stored spell, the Cleric simp...

Re: Prayer Touch question

No I am trying determine what level of contact and force is required to count as a hit to dispel/expend the spell, and if it is a closed fist type of contact, not be considered a punch. As a fist dump is obviously not a punch, but does require a level of force

Re: Prayer Touch question

So if "Participants may not punch, slap, or kick the body of another participant. A participant may not grab or pull on the costume, neck, or hair of another participant" is in the rule book without any mention of force or intent. Doesn't that make any closed fist contact come under the pu...

Re: Prayer Touch question

But why couldn't you punch someone if closed fists is a way to activate a touch spell? There's nothing that indicates how a touch is to be delivered, nor does it say that touch spells aren't head legal. I mean technically I could slap a dude in the face with prayer touch res if I wanted to given the...

Re: Proposal - Starting Money

Cosign Though might want to change the wording slightly Instead of "When a participants creates their first character and declares a class, they are given 5 gold of starting money." How about "When a participant declares a class after creating their first character, they are given 5 g...

I just want a clarification on the entire gray area for the future. I'm fine with letting your on the field ruling stand.

Is there a safety ruling about touch spells and closed fists?

cosigners

I cannot find any reference to them in our rulebook or bylaws. While I understand why they are desirable and have several cosigned proposals myself. Have they ever been mentioned in our rules?

I would certainly include them with a rulebook printing. Not having them in a rulebook we give to new players could cause serious confusion

New Rulebook issue

The new rulebook doesn't mention the EB or the NC except on page 9. And no where talks about their abilities in terms of how they govern.
Can we get this fixed or has it already gone to print? I mean I'm down for no oversight, but I kinda like having the EB and NC around.

Re: The Hydra

My final ruling of the Hydra will be thus: 1.) Heads are immune to all damage and spells until the body is dead. They have 5 hits and 1 fireball each 2.) The body regens 1 hit ever 30 seconds. It has 5 hits 3.) It is giant and each part can only be, when it can be damaged, damaged by magic weapons I...
