Re: Open Discussion - Order of the Sword ability?

Arrogance- the winner of the order of the sword is now a fighting noble and may look down their nose at all other game participants that are not fighting nobles. But in seriousness I don't think order of the sword recipients need a reward. The reward they get is a noble title, and the respect of the...

Re: Proposal currently in playtest. Javelins

I would like to point out that the noble council has already ruled that javelin covers must be red. This is a safety ruling, so there can be no mistake as to which end to throw. If your current javelin heads are not red, you are technically breaking the rules. Nurgle used to have gray/silver covered...

Identifying those under 21 at overnight events

I propose to add the following to the rules. Anyone under the age of 21 attending an overnight darkon event, where alcohol is/will be present, is required to be identified. If a person who is so identified is found to be consuming or has clearly consumed alcohol they are removed from the event. If t...

Re: Proposal - Blockades

I don't like either of these ideas as they are. I prefer the idea of being able to move and declare blockades as you will. And that boats earn income while in a blockade. If you want to up the cost per event, or charge the full price for a season when the blockade is declared that's fine. It's reall...

Re: Identifying those under 21 at overnight events

I certainly see the point you are raising Inox, and I agree with you to a certain point in limiting risk to the club. But we were 16, waiver in hand at some point. Some of the best events when I was under 21 I ever went to were campouts, which are overnight affairs with alcohol around. Even though I...

Re: Identifying those under 21 at overnight events

Looking into it in terms of identifying people vs cost. Tyvek wristbands seem to be the way to go. Orders of 500 cost around 15 dollars, no idea on shipping. Also I'd lean away from making a standardized symbol by country, one country might want a flag on a under 21 members tunics, other country mig...

Re: Bellum Aeternus II Pre-Registration

We're sort of derailing this thread. I've put up a proposal for discussion regarding identifying underage individuals during overnight events. Please continue the discussion there =)

Identifying those under 21 at overnight events

To discuss the merits, and change the rules. We've sort of derailed the bellum reg thread. I propose to add the following to the rules. We'll make the verbiage pretty as we go along Anyone under the age of 21 attending an overnight darkon event, where alcohol is/will be present, is required to be id...

Abandoning & Destroying unwanted map assets

I propose the following, cosigned by Valfryn and Aethilgar Add the following to land rules Abandoning Land A country that no longer desires to own a hex may abandon the hex, any settlements or structures are reduced to ruins and adventure prizes not contingent on hex ownership remain on the hex. Onl...

Re: Abandoning Land

I don't really want to make the land marshal's job harder by making them keep track of what monster is on what hex. Just roll it again when its searched. Its true unmaintained assets crumble, but there isn't a maintenance cost associated with boats. They just make less money as they get bigger.

Re: Abandoning Land

I worry about abuse if there isn't a cost associated with it, but if we limit it to abandoning one hex per event that would limit any potential for it. Any structure/settlement is reduced to ruins. And you cannot abandon any of your original 13. I really like the idea of razing a hex as an offensive...

Abandoning Land

There is no way in the rules to abandon land currently. If you take the territory, the only way to not own it is to give it to someone else, get invaded or go defunct. This doesn't make alot of sense. Consider this a discussion thread for a future proposal I propose to add the following to land rule...

Re: MAY CAMPOUT, SATURDAY CAPTURE THE FLAG: Rules

When you say no level restriction what do you mean?
Like any level thief or assassin can use the skill regardless of level, or that any thief who can use the skill can detect my disguise regardless of their levels vs my levels?

Re: What is wrong with Darkon?

Ah I misinterpreted what you were saying in regards to built in. I thought you were saying that because of our history with AQ, we were a built in super team currently. Which as an idea I certainly disagree with, and you guys are still pretty super even if you are never over 15 deep. I say that beca...

Re: Jube 2nd LoAP Hosts The Goblin New Year's Festival!!!

I'll just go over how the Goblins Slayers would impact this event. 1.) The goblin pit fight ring allows you to send a 3 man team to fight monsters. Only goblinoids would on their knees, pity the post says Monsters! not goblins. Impact minimal 2.) Its Jugging, there is no impact. Period! 3.) Finger T...

Re: Jube 2nd LoAP Hosts The Goblin New Year's Festival!!!

Hey it is an integral part of our country history, we chose to fight goblinoids over fighting anything else.
We even have a goblin reeducation camp that was built in the nurgle homelands. Any chance to use it we ask if we can.

Re: What is wrong with Darkon?

Thrush I've got to disagree again. Nurgle and AQ are not a super team, nor is it built in. At no campout in the last two years have we gotten more than 3 from them, or put more than 20 on the field. They fought against us on the most recent land war. I'd be more concerned with NQ and Slindar's retin...

What sort of entertainment does everyone think would be possible in darkon under our rule set, and/or what type of games/contests/entertainments would people like to see. Re: What is wrong with Darkon?

Honestly I'm going to have to step forward here and disagree with what's being said. This is a blanket statement that no country in the realm cares. Countries care, but there are a variety of reasons why no one has stepped forward for this campout. Be the reasons money, real world obligations, or th...

It is my opinion that any nobles who took the field, including those in my country have done themselves and those of no title a disservice. The point remains that by name the commoner's tourney ought to be for the best commoners to showcase their skill against other commoners Sir Thorsten being held...

it was conveyed to me from one of the many in my employ that the commoner's tourney was today. What struck me as interesting is that the commoner's tourney five man team was won by an all noble team. Isn't it enough that you people have the rank and privilege, why must you ruin the lives of the comm...
