Tankards and goblets for sale

Post by Ogre Solaris » 2012-02-08

As I stated in another post, I will be making available some new and some used drinking vessels for Darkonians. We will need these at the first campout and they make you look awesome so you need to get one :) I would wait until the next Market Faire event, but the campout happens before that so I'm going to just sell these myself.

My prices are reasonable, lower than just about anything you'll find online and I don't charge shipping. I'm not really looking to make money on this and I'm selling everything at or barely above cost.

Anyway, I have the following in my supply

***USED***

2 Silver plated goblets.
These are used, one is tarnished a little and one is tarnished a lot. I polished them to the best of my ability. There is a dent in one also but a small one. Nice if you're looking to sport real silver drinkware. If you buy a little silver polish you might be able to get them completely clean but I can't make promises since I'm no expert on the subject. I'll let the pair go together for 15 dollars.

3 thick green glass beer mugs.
These are in good shape and have already gone through my dishwasher to make sure they're clean. Nice and heavy glass. While it's sturdy it is still glass so be careful and please don't take them out were there is a lot of fighting. These are 6 dollars a piece.

***NEW***
(New has not been used and therefore not washed. Please wash before use.)

5 pewter goblets.
These are brand new and stamped on the bottom by the factory that produced them (Woodbury Pewterers). These are 8 dollars a piece.

30 Stainless Steel tankards.
These are almost the same ones I got from Things Remembered as a wedding gift and I've been drinking from that one for almost 6 years. Stainless, double walled to keep drinks colder, and these are durable (please don't test that out though, they're not indestructible). These are 12 dollars per tankard.

Come see me in Kindred's camp if you are interested. Ask for Ogre. All prices are as low as I can go and not take a loss on these. Tips in the form of Darkon coin are appreciated as well.

Quick question, of the five pewter goblets, how much does one of them hold?

I just did a quick test pouring water into them then pouring it out into a measuring cup. Give me about a 1 ounce margin for error here.

Pewter goblets - 8 ounces
Silver plated goblets - 10 ounces
Green glass mugs - 12 ounces
Stainless steel tankards - 16 ounces.

Sure thing. Re-reading that, it's not really clear, but I am going to be at every event up to and including campout and will bring them with me to all of them, you can buy them at any time.

I'll bring some of each out Sunday (I'll have the silver ones with me too) and will bring them each week. Whatever is left I will bring to campout as well. I usually arrive there late Friday.

Anyone who wanted these, come find me this Sunday in Kindred's area. At Burtonsville, we usually campout right near checkin, behind where the marshals are checking weapons under a big tree. Ask for Ogre and you'll find me. My wife should also be there in case I'm on the field and can sell the mugs/goblets to you as well. This is the last chance to get them before camp. I will get to camp as early as I can Friday but if you want your drinking vessel in hand before then, you'll have to get it from me Sunday.

I'll find you at Burtonsville then, at least to show them to you if you're not carrying cash Sunday. They're not fancy, but nice and definitely qualify as period drinking vessels.

Hey Ogre, I know the post is pretty old at this point, but Mac was wondering if you still have any of those stainless tankards for sale? and if you do could you bring one to the campout for him to buy.

Edited cuz spelling is hard.. and editors are harder. :(

Sure do. I've only sold a few so far, most people wanted them but didn't have money with them at the day events. I'm bringing all of them with me, come find me in Kindred's camp when you get there, I should be there by 1PM Friday.
