Yep I need a good hype to have me drag my ass 3 hours to reunion. If I don't see anything to bring me there, I stay home. I don't need to get drunk and stumble around campsites, I stopped being 21 a long time ago

I dunno. I've driven 12 hours one way to go to campouts many times and not known a d*mned thing about what the adventure was about and didn't need to.

Maybe hanging out around a campfire with friends after fighting people is my idea of fun. Maybe its not yours. Oh well.

I'll be there having fun regardless of any info given.

Essex. Ive driven 6 hours for campouts, just to come and fight for the day and head home that night. Ya'll don't need to post *. I can just tell you from experience that when a campout happens and people don't know anything about it, it influences their decision on whether or not they want to spend x amount of time driving out to something.

Event A boasts a huge costume ball on Friday Night, with the King of Darkon being murdered by one of the guests. This throws the Realm into chaos as people are accused, tempers flare, and intrigue abounds. Saturday there are all sorts of things going on that result from the King's death, adventure, monsters, political assasinations and machinations.

Event B says nothing

I know which event I would spend my time attending.

As far as hanging out around a campfire drinking with friends, it sure is fun. I do it twice a year with my friends at our Spring and Fall "Daddy's Camping Trip". All Dads and Kids, moms get the weekend off. And I dont have to drive 3 hours for it =P.

There's a brief synopsis on the in-character boards. If it will encourage you to come out, my country will be up to ridiculous shenanigans regardless of other factors.

Awesome! I see the synopsis, so I semi-understand the adventure.

My questions are a touch more mundane in nature.
1- Do I have to Pre-Reg?
2- What is the cost, to attend?
3- Will there be a Feast?
4- Will my mundane tent be a problem?
5- Is there potable water onsite?
6- Is there civilization nearby, for any forgotten essentials?
7- Will me not having a campsite, or unit, be a problem?

Other than that, I think I am in good shape. I plan on stopping by for check out some "ridiculous shenanigans"! Which camp?

1. just show up you pay at site no pre reg is done
2. it is 5 dollars for the weekend
3. no official feast - different groups at the event have camp feasts but normally they are not advertised - it is my understanding that the country and people running it will have food available for in game coin but I will let them deny or confirm this
4. your tent is no problem
5. no
6. stores are about 10-15 min away max and you will see them when you get off the highway exit
7. not a problem some groups like to have newer players join them when you arrive just ask around and I am sure someone will be happy to have you join them - you can actually ask here on the board as well to see what countries are interested in allowing you to camp with them I am sure many will speak up

If you see a bunch of guys wearing yellow and talking in orc accents, that'll be us. You're welcome to run with us if your character doesn't mind hanging out with smelly greenskins. We also interact with a lot of other countries in Darkon and we'd be happy to introduce you and show you around.
