Question

With the recent events, I'd like to get the realms feel on this issue.

My vote for YES came with a caviat: not if it involves something where there is a definable "victim". It would not be fair to them.

I agree with Thrush. I believe suspension announcements should be as brief and to the point as possible. Nobody needs all the details, unless the suspended party chooses to contest it, then it's on them when everything comes out on the table.

If the suspensions is in regards to general safety then yes, it should be made public so that participants can be aware. Anything else does not need to be, unless the player chooses to contest, at which point all of the information will need to be presented to the Senate and would then be made public. My two cents.

Do you want your suspension published should be the question.

I dont think the recipient of the punishment should have a say in the matter. you F up, it becomes knowledge to the realm. There is an easy solution of course to avoid this....

Unless I am banned, it is none of your damn business..and even then the reasons are still none of your business.

The only peoples whose business it is, is the corporate entities that handle enforcement.

I disagree with you :)

If you are suspended for fondling 16 year old girls, I want to know about it so I can keep any 16 year old girls that come out with my son away from you. If you are suspended for unsafe fighting on the field, I want to know about it so I can avoid fighting you.

I could give a * less about someone's "rights". You wanna keep your laundry in the closet? Don't cheat. Don't break the rules. Don't get banned.

Wanna know how I keep off of a sex offender list? I dont do the * that would put me on the list in the first place.

I love you, Fingers.

I think saying "X person did Y and Z and is thus Q" is a good middle ground, just leave out things overly specific. I trust we can all think of an example as to why this is a good idea?

Absolutely. I don't need to hear who the victims are in any situation unless an appeal is made and then its fair game.
