I am going to get in touch with those guys. They look like they are one we REALLY should be supporting. Like ORCS.

That's the group from PA that was in Radiance, no?

I could try to give you the FB of one of the guys who started that if you want to contact them, John.

This group is in Phili. The perfect group to groom as a Darkon spin-off and keep involved locally to help come up with ways to build a larger Darkonish community.

These guys come down to play with us from time to time. They were at Roundtree when Ched attacked our boat. even though our boat was too small to hold them, they came out to support Kindred since they're in our camp every time they camp with Darkon and are basically unofficial Kindred members (in my mind anyway).

Even more of a reason to make them one of the groups we test our ideas on. MUHAHAHAA :P

I used to be one of the regulars there. I haven't spoken to them since going back to school, but I am pretty sure they are either dead or just about dead. First summer especially we had a lot of promise. People would bring their friends and make fresh countries. We had some crap events, people lost energy and we stopped getting new people.

Me and the old country leader try to get down to Darkon with some of our boys when we can.

You're in a major metro-area. Just need to know who to bring people to your events.

Maybe we can help you revive it.

I have spoken to Uric of Dominion and we may be able to help get things going.

With you guys being in a major-metro area you should be able to revive. Getting new members is all about advertising and consistency in events.

Make a schedule. And have those events. If 1 person shows or 20 people who you should ALWAYS have an event.

Don't let Winter slow you down either.

The key to keeping new groups going is persistence. Back when ORCS was trying to get off the ground is was basically just Bloody Axe "South Branch", i.e. Efnissien, Con, Wood, and a few new local Hampton VA guys. The trick is that you need to grin and bear it while you're just half a dozen dudes in funny outfits at the local park.
The reason that ORCS was able to grow to the club that it is now is because Jayson and Con never gave up. They promoted the crap out of thier concept and just plain kept showing up. It grew slowly over time, but it DID grow. If you build it, they will come.

Now bear in mind that ORCS is not located near any metro area. Dominion is in one of the biggest cities in the country. If ORCS can succeed in Hampton VA, there is zero reason that a club in Philadelphia would not flourish with the right dedicated people.
