one year hold on rule changes

Post by Snudge » 2014-01-20

I propose that we not change any rules for a year, let just all relax and let the game get used to the current ruleset

I second Inox. Nothing wrong with changing the game to make it better.

I would be okay with only changing the rules once a year, but not stifling rule changes period. The game needs to change to evolve.

Yeah, putting a hold on things wont actually change anything, Snudge... Most vets who jsut come out to play, not make up new things, like me, will continue playing by the rules that we remember from about 2004 (minus some obvious weapons changes and such) and just get told when we're wrong. I've come to accept that a rules arguement is obviously part of every single adventure. *shrug*

I'm not looking to prevent rule changes in the game, in fact I think rule changes reflect the ever evolving face of darkon. But I do think we need to slow the rate down for a little bit, let everything settle for a year. Nothing we've passed so far is game breaking, so I'm not concerned with not being able to change something that's broken. I really do just want to not change anything for a year and let some of the recent stuff set before we go changing more things.

I have two co-signers so I'm going to send this to the magistrate.
