Yep, most things worn UNDER armor arent even seen in the game. I have no idea if Malkin is wearing a hello kitty shirt under his butted plate and dont care if his plate greaves are over a pair of black sweats or 16th century replica garb.

If a person isnt running around in jeans, with converse allstars, and a hoodie on, i dont really have a problem. I mean, were "do rags" worn in the medieval times? Cause I see a * ton of those on the field.

Fingers, I am merely pushing for nobles to have better garb, can that really be something to get upset about? To denote their station. Several nobles were nice looking garb even in their armor, the first one to mind is Sir Caetrel (sp?).

The first that comes to mind is always Tarim, personally. But yeah, Caetrel is up there, as is Bendore.

So for the upper echelon of the game, to play a restricted class (which many view as OP), it's too much to ask that we require a higher level of garb?

Sad.

If a tunic and boot covers is that much to ask a vet/officer of the game, sheesh.. maybe we should drop the dues and all.

Who views cavaliers as OP?

I simply feel Cavaliers should be Cavaliers, not Templars, and have rewards befitting Knights not Cleric/Fighters.

Nobility and skill at beating someone in a ring should have no bearing on being a holy warrior of God X.

Has the Noble Council put together a proposal yet??

This is the last option I had, though I think it is very different then what the NC was proposing.

Cavalier is a restricted class. A participant who was earned Order of the Sword may elect to give up all ranks in a single class (in which they are 10th rank or higher) in order to start a 1st rank Cavalier. Cavaliers are characters who serve a particular god, or crusade for a cause. They must be of lawful alignment whether it is good, neutral, or evil. Cavaliers may use any weapon (though they disdain the use of missile or ranged weapons) and any type of shield. They are required to wear armor from the AC3 or AC4 armor classes when fighting is expected, and garb befitting their station when fighting is not expected.

Thanks. I think this is one of the more important proposals right now.

To a few people maybe. Since this doesnt effect 95% of the population of the game, they dont care. Suppose that is what happens when you have a class only available to a few people.

While initially that is true, the idea is to open it up to more people.

With Order of the Sword being a real thing now, why has no one challenged other than Knights?

Id love to play a Cavalier however I have no inkling about beating the majority of the Fighting Nobles in a tourney setting. Should I ever decide to dedicate 6 months of heavy training and cardio to do so, in order to earn the right for my god to favor me by granting me a few spells that he feels unecessary to grant unless I beat someone in a ring, I will of course challenge :)

Step one: win commoners tourney, step two: win nobles tourney, step three: ???

In truth, I can see why a lot of people don't want to bother with CAV. I've used the heal maybe three times since November.

Most people don't like wearing chain armor or greater, all the time either. If you probably aren't playing a fighter in metal all year, you likely won't bother with cav. You lose too much as a cleric (assuming you use your spells often).

Yeah, honestly, the way the class is written currently, I haven't enjoyed playing it very much. I doubt I will do so much in the future.

I enjoy my four high-rank characters oodles more.
