Green Damage Question

Now that we have a more difficult selection of monsters, many of them only affected by magic, I plan on bringing my ballistae to more day events for landsearches.

Is green damage from siege weapons considered magical?

Second question. If green damage is not considered magical. I can pour holy water on each ballistae bolt making them holy green for one hit. Since we treat green damage similar to firewalls, will a monster affected by magic only hit by a bolt take 3 hits?

Spoke to my evil advisers.

Green damage is not magical.
Green damage and fireballs do 4 hits.
So a Blessed ballistea bolt will do 4 holy hits

There is even precedent for this. Back when I was in Ched, we poured holy water on some bolts and shot them at things that took 3 hits and could only be hit by holy. BAM.

A Mage could conceivably cast Enchant Item on the ballista, though. The spell specifically allows the caster to "imbue one weapon or item with magical energy". Magical items that fire projectiles impart that magic to their ammunition.

So, yet another good reason to have a Mage on a Land Search. :D

That's crazy talk! Nobody would want to take a mage on ANY action! We need to give them 2 more hits and timestop!

No * man. It was a prize from the worlds fair campout. But fyi, holy and magical are two different classifications. Even if the bolt is holy, creatures that are immune to everything but magical hits, would still not take hits from ballistae green.
Now what if like 3-5 rangers enchant a balista, cause they are really just giant bows.....

Enchant *Personal* Bow is the name of the spell now. You can't enchant something someone else can use, and if someone else goes to use it, it is not enchanted. Same as a true strike weapon.

Oh you are correct! So the reality is if you have a warrior mage that will cast true strike on his balista then you have something that will absolutely wreck an NPC. I'll keep that in mind.
