Spell Effect Headbands

Giant growth specifically, to be worn around the forehead, with the letter "G" presented outward and in plain view for all to see.

Today on the field a ruling was made that such a headband tied around the neck was acceptable because the users were wearing helmets that could not accommodate the wearing of a band as well.

These headbands, though white in color, were worn about the neck in such a fashion as to be unreadable, and yet such a ruling stood.

What recourse have we for such a thing?

Was it a spot ruling on the field by the event elder? If so it is fine for that event, the people wearing it SHOULD announce that they are giants when they start approaching. It is not an official ruling by a spell marshal or magistrate/president however that I have seen, and as soon as my proposal makes it to senate we wont have to worry about it anymore

Yeah, it was a spot ruling and both the Noble liaison for the spell marshals was there, as well as several spell marshals.

The giants yelled that they were giants quite a bit from what I could tell, but it is possible that not everybody heard it.

There doesnt need to be any "Recourse", yes they should be on your head, in a perfect world, but what the big deal?
The Lead Elder okay'd it, and they were yelling "Giant on your knees"... NBD people, NBD.

I only bring it up because as a giant myself at the time, with a big G on my forehead, I was charged and took a nice shield plant to the face and was struck repeatedly before either of them said "Oh yea, we're giants too."

I heard no call, and I saw no G. I'm of the opinion that if you can't fit the band around your head, lose the helmet or make it visible, but folded up around the neck is a little *.

I agree. Next time Id just point it out to either them or an elder.
