The new rulebook for January 2024 has been posted here: https://www.darkon.org/index.php/rulebook/
All changes made since July are in BLUE text. The changes include:
- Bards gaining the ability to make 1 Scroll per event
- Aluminum chainmail becoming legal if made to 16 gauge chainmail specs
- The removal of weapon cover color restrictions
- Removing the requirement for countries to bring banners to check-in
- Order of the Eagle no longer automatically granting Nobility (this has never happened)
- Golden Spud being able to be awarded for a new player over 24 months as opposed to 12
- Returning the ability of Mending to mend Skin Armor
- Rogue’s Interrogate shortened to 1 minute
- Changes to Druid spells Entangle and Mending
- Delve and Salvage additions and changes to the Land Rules
- Quarterstaffs of any size now usable by Devoted Clerics
- Several other minor Rogue changes
- A ruling that Rangers and Barbarians don’t actually grow large when they gain stand vs. giants
- A ruling on Skin Armor refreshing from Scrolls but not Potions (now in the spell text)
- A ruling that Glaives can be used as Bars. This allows for Druid Shillelagh to be maximally useful.
- And last but not least, the complete revamp of the Cavalier as the new Paladin class
